Organic Chemistry IIB 1200-1CHMCHO2B3
The reactivity as well as preparation methods of organic compounds bearing one or two functional groups will be discussed. The following compounds will be presented:
- aldehydes & ketones
- carboxylic acids and their derivatives
aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds
- alkines
- amino acids
- radical reactions
For every class of compounds the following are discussed: nomenclature, structure, stereochemistry, basic chemical transformations with reaction mechanisms as well as methods of preparation.
