Students prepare a presentation in which they discuss the scientific problem that is the topic of their project. The topic of the project is established by a tutor and its details should be discussed with a student. The project may be prepared in a form of literature review or may also include results of experimental or theoretical works carried out in the laboratory. In the presentation students describe the scientific problem that is connected with their projects and present results of their own studies. All students are encouraged to actively participate in the discussion.

Learning outcomes
Students should be able to prepare high quality presentation of the scientific project. Moreover, it is expected that they will be able to actively participate in the scientific discussion.
Assessment criteria
Final grade is based on the quality of 2 presentations (max. 2x10 pts.), test (max. 20 pts.) and positive opinion of the thesis tutor on the progres of its implementation. 2 unexcused absences are allowed (total 4).
Test: 10 questions in chemistry + 10 questions in physics. Minimum 50% (both parts).
Final grade:
21-24,5: 3
25-27,5: 3,5
28-31,5: 4
32-35,5: 4,5
36-40 5
