Prerequisites (description)
Learning outcomes
After completing the lecture, the student:
- demonstrates proficient use of basic concepts in quantitative analytical chemistry,
- is able to qualitatively and quantitatively describe classical titrimetric methods,
- is able to indicate and justify the choice of method for different types of samples and analyses,
- is able to apply appropriate formulas and equations for the quantitative description of an analytical process,
- is able to identify potential sources of errors in quantitative analysis,
- is able to justify the need to perform selected analyses.
Furthermore, as an extension of the material compared to course “A”, the student:
- knows the fundamentals and methodology of gravimetric analysis,
- is able to provide examples of such analyses and discuss their advantages and disadvantages,
- is able to present and discuss examples of multi-analyte classical titrations,
- is familiar with selected instrumental titration methods,
- is able to identify similarities and differences between classical and instrumental titrations,
- is able to qualitatively and quantitatively describe instrumental titration methods.
