Prerequisites (description)
- introduce and explain the basic concept of the gravitational microlensing
- present additional effects accompanying the microlensing
- show numerous applications of the microlensing in astrophysics, e.g. dark matter studies, black hole searches, exoplanets.
- analyse in detail couple of examples of interesting microlensing events
- discuss the modern machine learning approach to large data volumes in the context of microlensing

Learning outcomes
A student should know about the mathematical background and applications of gravitational microlensing in modern astrophysical sciences.
A student should be able to solve basic problems illustrating discussed topics.
Assessment criteria
The course is taking place on a Kampus platform only. The students can watch the videos anytime, there is also a test connected with each Lecture. At the end there is exam, which can also be taken anytime convenient. The Lecturer is available every week during the planned time for the course for zoom or on-site consultations.
