The physics laboratory is designed to familiarize students with basic types of experiments in mechanics, waves, optics, solid-state physics, and modern physics. The exercises are carried out under the supervision of an assistant.Students choose an exercise to perform at least one week in advance and prepare for it according to the instructions available on the course website. The preparation is checked and evaluated by the assistant. Performing the exercise involves carrying out the appropriate measurements, processing the data, and discussing the results. The outcome of the exercise is a report, which is evaluated by the assistant. During the semester, ten exercises from the list available on the laboratory's website must be completed. At least one exercise from each of the following areas must be performed: Oscillations, Heat, Optics, Solid-State Physics, Modern Physics.
Attendance is mandatory. No more than two absences are allowed.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the basic types of experiments in mechanics, electromagnetic waves, and modern physics; ability to perform statistical analysis of experimental data; ability to fit a theoretical model and discuss experimental results.
Assessment criteria
After completing the laboratory exercise, the report on the experiment conducted is evaluated. The report must be submitted within five working days of completing the exercise. Each report can be revised by the student once. The same exercise cannot be performed more than once. The final grade is the average of the grades obtained. Passing the laboratory course is possible if the average grade is not less than 3.00. To pass the laboratory course, the number of exercises with a positive evaluation must be no less than 8.
