Popularisation of Mathematics 1000-1S03PM
The seminar is addressed to students interested in presenting formalism-free mathematics as part of science, culture and civilisation. Participants will be encouraged to read and create such presentations.
Students will be asked to present a critical analysis of literature items related to the popularisation of mathematics. Moreover, they may present their own texts that follow the spirit of the discussed item. They should posses some ability in presenting their ideas in both oral and written form and they are expected to like and read popular texts.
