(in Polish) Toric varieties 1000-1M26RT
The course aims to give a working knowledge of toric varieties, from their definition to their connections with polytopes, cones and combinatorial algebra. After getting a good understanding of the basics, we will describe more involved constructions including Cox rings, Picard and class groups, canonical divisor, and singularities. Ideally, during the course the interested student will learn enough to work further in this area.
This course is going to be held in English and it is aimed at master and PhD students. The requirement is to have attended a basic course in commutative algebra and algebraic geometry.
