Geometric group theory 1000-1M25GTG
During this course we will discuss important notions of geometric group theory, including volume growth, hyperbolicity, quasi-isometries and some of their invariants. We will also discuss classic theorems concerning volume growth of nilpotent groups and Gromov's theorem on polynomial growth. We will also discuss the Tits alternative.
