Cosmic-ray geophysics 1300-WGFPK
Program zajęć obejmuje następujące główne grupy zagadnień:
- Podstawy fizyki promieni kosmicznych i ich interakcje z materią na Ziemi.
- Produkcja izotopów kosmogenicznych w atmosferze, wodzie i skałach, oraz ich zastosowanie w geochronologii i pokrewnych dziedzinach.
- Interakcje neutronów kosmogenicznych z wodą na Ziemi i zastosowanie w hydrologii i pokrewnych dziedzinach.
- Techniki pomiarowe dla neutronów i izotopów kosmogenicznych.

Efekty kształcenia
Student zna i rozumie:
- podstawy fizyki promieni kosmicznych i metodologię badań naukowych w tym zakresie
- zastosowanie produktów promieniowania kosmicznego w geologii i geomorfologii
- zastosowanie produktów promieniowania kosmicznego w hydrologii i glacjologii
- istotę datowania obiektów na powierzchni Ziemi przy pomocy izotopów kosmogenicznych
Potrafi:
- przeprowadzić analizę danych pomiarowych i interpretację wyników
- przygotować i wygłosić referat na podstawie samodzielnych studiów literaturowych
- wykorzystywać zdobytą wiedzę do twórczego identyfikowania, formułowania i innowacyjnego rozwiązywania złożonych problemów lub wykonywania zadań o charakterze badawczym
- uczestniczyć w dyskusji naukowej
- posługiwać się językiem obcym w stopniu umożliwiającym uczestnictwo w międzynarodowym środowisku naukowym i zawodowym
Jest gotów do:
- krytycznej oceny dorobku w ramach danej dyscypliny naukowej
- uznawania znaczenia wiedzy w rozwiązywaniu problemów poznawczych i praktycznych
Kryteria oceniania
Kontrola obecności – dopuszczalna 1 nieobecność, ocena poprawności wykonanych analiz i wnioskowania, ocena referatu, poprawkowe zaliczenie w formie ustnej.
