Pluralism of Socio-Economic Systems 4003-204PSGS
The aim of the course is to make the students familiar with the concept of the pluralism of contemporary socio-economic systems both in terms of the theoretical approach and the practical approach (based on selected case studies). The classes will present the concept of the man in the economy, discuss the relationships between the market, the state and the society as well as analyse the role of the state in the economy. They will focus on contemporary Europe in the context of the other countries and regions in the world as well as the most critical socio-economic challenges Europe is to face in the future.

Wiedza:
1. Understands socio-economic transformations ongoing in the contemporary world

4. Can list and explain different socio-economic systems existing and Europe and beyond
Umiejętności:
1. Can analyse contemporary socio-economic transformations, while placing them within the context of the whole system
2. Can compare different socio-economic systems which exist in Europe and in selected countries in other regions of the world
3. Can identify and analyse key socio-economic challenges in Europe
4. Can independently search for, select and gather reliable and objective information and data concerning the socio-economic systems in Europe and the socio-economic policies in order to conduct a thorough analysis and thus formulate conclusions and recommendations
