MD/EM-Methodology of media education 2300-MD/EM-MZM
The aim of the course for students is to obtain teaching competence of media education. During the course we will discuss ways of transferring knowledge about the media, classroom scenarios, methods of activation in media education. The classes prepare students to improve their competence in the field of media education.
The range of topics:
- Status of competence in the field of media education and information; development of media competence in core curriculum provided by MEN
- Media education in Poland and other countries
- Film Education, Radio Education, Readership Education
- Media education in the theory and practice of teaching
- Basic principles of teaching
- Structure of the teaching unit; a model of a lesson plan
- Classification of teaching methods, activating methods in media education, the method of project, educational games
- Media education scenario
- Creating teaching aids for classes of media education
- Multimedia packages, projects and educational portals
- Analysis of program proposals

Learning outcomes
Student has knowledge of the substantive and methodological aspects of media education.
Student knows the basic literature of the subject.
Student knows the ways of transferring knowledge about the media.

Student can create lesson plan concerning media education.
Student can create and implement his own project classes on topics in the field of media education.

Student is aware of the level of their knowledge and skills
Student evaluates his competence and improves skills, set his own direction of development and education.
