Learning outcomes
The student knows the anatomy (particularly the skeleton) of sharks. He knows the main events in the history of chondrichthyans. He can recognise the major types of shark fossils and knows their meaning in biostratigraphy and palaeoecology. He is informed in life functions, behaviour, ecology and biogeography of sharks.
Assessment criteria
Presence and essay. Preparation of an essay on the subject of the lecture. The contents and clarity of the text are evaluated.
