Documentation of geological works and their impact on the environment 1300-WDPGWS-GES
The seminar present the tasks and basic methods of geological and mining cartography, including surface mapping, profiling (mapping) of boreholes, mapping underground and open pit mines; methods of mapping illustrating the geology of the deposits and the variability of its parameters.
Next, the methodology of geological operation (works) that must be properly planned is presented. The basis for their implementation is the preparation of a geological work project, i.e. a plan of activities leading to the achievement of the designated geological targets.
Afterwards, the format and content of the geological documentation are discussed taking into account the requirements set out in the implementing regulations of the polish Geological and Mining Law as well as the basic methods for estimating the mineral resources.
The second purpose of this seminar is to present and evaluation of impact of exploration and mining activity on the natural environment. The rules of environmental impact assessment of development projects are presented. A number of notably different types of minerals that are explored by different types of techniques are provided to illustrate the problems caused by prospecting and exploration activity. Ranges of study for the Environmental impact assessment (EIA) are presented also.
The seminar is especially helpful for those wishing to work in the widely understood sector of mineral raw materials.
