Intellectual Property 3501-WISIP-IP
The course deals with the rules governing the protection of Intellectual Property (IP). It covers patents, trademarks, industrial designs and
copyrights. EU-law framework is discussed in this respect. In addition, the course covers the intersection between IP and competition law (in
particular refusal to deal cases, such as Microsoft). The course familiarizes students with basic concepts. At the same time, by presenting multimedia materials and articles from business magazines it invites students to the discussion about recent challenges and the
future of IP. During the course real cases that involved IP litigation are presented.
