Geopolitics of Asia-Pacific - ZIP 2100-MON-GAPA-ZIP
Jednym z najbardziej istotnych wydarzeń w stosunkach międzynarodowych od zakończenia zimnej wojny jest przede wszystkim pokojowy rozwój Azji i Pacyfiku jako najbardziej dynamicznego gospodarczo regionu na świecie. Wraz ze wzrostem tempa rekonfiguracji regionu jako Indo-Pacyfiku, nowe wyzwania geopolityczne zagrażają równowadze pomiędzy dotychczas komplementarnymi czynnikami gospodarczymi i bezpieczeństwa zapewniającymi stabilność regionalną, zwłaszcza w obszarze polityki wielkich mocarstw. Przedmiot analizuje zmieniającą się geopolitykę powstającego mega-regionu, z naciskiem na główne strategie wielkich mocarstw i wynikające z nich konsekwencje dla innych podmiotów regionalnych. Koncentruje się on w szczególności na konkurencyjnych zaletach realistycznych, liberalnych i konstruktywistycznych wyjaśnień różnych strategicznych reakcji na zmieniającą się geopolitykę regionu. W trakcie kursu próbuje się również odpowiedzieć na pytanie o to, które teorie stosunków międzynarodowych mogą najlepiej wyjaśnić bardziej ogólną dynamikę budowania porządku regionalnego w nowych ramach regionu Indo-Pacyfiku - procesu, którego wynik ma implikacje dla budowania porządku regionalnego w innych częściach świata, a także globalne konsekwencje dla obecnego liberalnego porządku światowego z przewodnią rola Stanów Zjednoczonych.

Efekty kształcenia
Studenci, którzy ukończą przedmiot, będą potrafili:
1. Zrozumieć główne siły rządzące geopolityką Azji i Pacyfiku oraz rekonceptualizację regionu jako Indo-Pacyfiku;
2. Dokonać analizy głównych strategii największych mocarstw regionu i reakcji innych podmiotów na zmieniające się geopolityczne zarysy powstającego megaregionu Indo-Pacyfik;
3. Ocenić i zastosować najważniejsze dostępne teoretyczne i koncepcyjne narzędzia w celu zrozumienia zmieniających się stosunków międzynarodowych w regionie;
4. Krytycznie ocenić ogólny proces budowania porządku regionalnego zarówno z teoretycznego, jak i zorientowanego na politykę punktu widzenia;
5. Dokonać analizy powiązań pomiędzy dynamiką bezpieczeństwa Azji i Pacyfiku a interakcjami gospodarczymi;
6. Poprawić swoje umiejętności badawcze, pisarskie i analityczne, realizując zadania dotyczące tematów związanych z geopolityką Azji i Pacyfiku.
Kryteria oceniania
Elementy oceny i obciążenie pracą dla danego elementu (%)
1)Esej naukowy (2500-3000 słów) - 70%. Termin oddania - 24 kwietnia 2020
2) Test końcowy - 30%. Termin oddania - 4 maja 2020.
