Academic Writing in English – ZIP 0508-AWE-OG-ZIP
The course is addressed to PhD students seeking to improve their writing skills. The first part of the course will focus on characteristics of academic writing, including organization, coherence and cohesion, and engaging with sources. Next, students will learn about style and how to write clearly. Finally, students will learn how to write abstracts; they will also write, review, and submit an academic paper.

Course requirements:
1. Participation: 20 points
2. Peer review: 40 points
3. Paper (due a week after our last meeting): 40 points
Pass: 60-100 points
Fail: 0-59 points
