Studia pierwszego stopnia na kierunku pedagogika prowadzone przez Wydział Pedagogiczny UW są zgodne ze standardami kształcenia określonymi przez MNiSW dla kierunku pedagogika oraz z Rozporządzeniem MENiS w sprawie standardów kształcenia nauczycieli (dotyczy specjalności nauczycielskich głównych i dodatkowych). W czasie studiów można realizować różne specjalności zawodowe, które uwzględniają wymogi współczesnego rynku pracy. Studia pedagogiczne dają studentom szeroką możliwość zatrudnienia. Zależnie od wybranej specjalności, absolwent może podjąć pracę między innymi w:
Sylwetka absolwenta Absolwent studiów pierwszego stopnia na kierunku pedagogika dysponuje rzetelną wiedzą ogólnopedagogiczną, psychologiczną, filozoficzną, socjologiczną i historyczną niezbędną do zrozumienia społeczno-kulturowego kontekstu kształcenia, wychowania i pracy opiekuńczej oraz do kształtowania własnego rozwoju zawodowego. Nabywa umiejętności komunikacji społecznej, posługiwania się warsztatem diagnostycznym, wzbogacania oraz doskonalenia swojej wiedzy i kompetencji w zakresie praktycznego działania. Specjalności łączą teorię z praktyką pedagogiczną organizowaną we współpracujących z Wydziałem placówkach. Absolwent uzyskuje kwalifikacje do wykonywania zawodu: nauczyciela przedszkola, nauczyciela w klasach I-III; animatora społeczno-kulturalnego; pracownika socjalnego; pedagoga i pedagoga szkolnego – zależnie od wybranej specjalności. Absolwent studiów pierwszego stopnia zna język obcy na poziomie biegłości B2 Europejskiego Systemu Opisu Kształcenia Językowego Rady Europy oraz umie posługiwać się językiem specjalistycznym niezbędnym do wykonywania zawodu. Absolwent jest przygotowany do podjęcia studiów drugiego stopnia (magisterskich). |

Admission procedures:
Kandydaci na I rok studiów stacjonarnych pierwszego stopnia wskazują podczas rejestracji na studia trzy specjalności, których studiowaniem są najbardziej zainteresowani.
Wydział zastrzega sobie prawo do wprowadzenia limitów przyjęć na poszczególne specjalności. Limity na specjalności zależeć będą od liczby kandydatów, jak i od możliwości dydaktycznych Wydziału. W przypadku większej liczby chętnych na daną specjalność lub nieuruchomienia specjalności, którą kandydat wskazał jako swój pierwszy wybór, będzie on kierowany na specjalność, którą wskazał jako drugą, a w analogicznej sytuacji będzie przydzielony do specjalności, którą podał w trzeciej kolejności lub zostanie mu zaproponowana inna specjalność.
Wydział zastrzega sobie również prawo do nieuruchomienia danej specjalności w przypadku braku wystarczającej liczby chętnych. Dana specjalność powstanie, gdy zbierze się przynajmniej jedna grupa (20 osób).
Podział na specjalności zostanie ogłoszony po upublicznieniu listy przyjętych na studia.

Admission procedures - old maturity exam:
W przypadku kandydatów, którzy zdali egzamin dojrzałości bierze się pod uwagę wyniki egzaminu dojrzałości ze wszystkich przedmiotów zdawanych na maturze w części pisemnej i ustnej.
Oceny z egzaminu dojrzałości zostaną przeliczone na punkty procentowe w następujący sposób:
Matura po 1991 roku
ocena 6 = 100 %
ocena 5 = 90 %
ocena 4 = 75 %
ocena 3 = 50 %
ocena 2 = 30 %
Matura do 1991 roku
ocena 5 = 100 %
ocena 4 = 85 %
ocena 3 = 30 %
Wynik końcowy kandydata, który zdał egzamin dojrzałości to średnia arytmetyczna ze wszystkich – przeliczonych na punkty rekrutacyjne – ocen z egzaminu dojrzałości.
