Learning outcomes
Knowledge - the graduate knows and understands:
- the basic terminology covering the study areas relevant to the teaching of foreign languages or ‘’social studies”
- the methods, norms, procedures and standards of practice in institutions related to the teaching of foreign languages
Skills - the graduate is able to:
- search, analyse, evaluate, select and use information using a variety of sources and methods
- autonomously plan and implement projects related to typical foreign language teaching environments (including preschool, school and other institutions related to foreign language teaching) and/or teaching ‘’social studies’’ at the second educational stage
- evaluate, to a basic extent, the quality of foreign language teaching and/or the quality of teaching ‘social studies’’
- use language skills at CEFR level C1 for the main language specialisation; use language skills at CEFR level B1 for the second foreign language (lektorat)
Social competences - the graduate is prepared to:
- reflect on the level of their skills and knowledge, constantly develop professionally and personally, self-assess their competences, improve their skills, plan their development and training
- take responsibility for the promotion and preservation of the cultural heritage of the region, country and Europe
- interact and work in a group, performing various roles
- take action both in (pre)school and outside-of-school environment with the conviction about its appropriateness and effectiveness, both in psychological and pedagogical terms; is prepared to meet professional challenges and maintain a consistently professional and positive attitude towards their role as a teacher
