1. Educational outcomes

After graduating from the Master’s degree programme in Finance, Accounting and Insurance the graduate:

KNOWLEDGE

- has extended knowledge of the nature of finance, accounting and insurance as a science discipline, its place in the system of social sciences as well as its subject matter and methodological relationships with other science disciplines

- has structured and in-depth knowledge of the concepts and categories related to corporate finance, financial intermediation, financial markets and the public sector

- has in-depth knowledge of financial accounting and financial reporting statements for all business entities, including: banks, financial institutions and insurance companies as well as groups of companies

- has extended knowledge on the tax system at the central and local levels as well as requirements of the tax law with respect to business entities (the taxpayer, remitter, tax liability)

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
- is able to correctly use the financial and insurance terminology

- can effectively use the selected financial documents, in particular financial statements, in order to analyse the practical action taken

- is able to prepare and interpret a financial statement for each type of business unit, taking into consideration the application valuation principles

- can effectively use the selected theoretical formulations in order to analyse the actions taken with respect to finance matters and drawing conclusions thereon

SOCIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
- is aware of the importance of the knowledge of finance, accounting and insurance for the understanding of socio-economic developments, which in turn results in their continuing to update their knowledge and skills

- is able to solve problems relating to accounting, finance and insurance working as part of a team
