Learning outcomes
Knowledge, skills and abilities that will be achieved by graduated students:
Ability to use advanced micro-and macro- economic theory for scientific analysis of different socio-economic processes;
Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, advanced statistical and econometric methods combined with the ability to use analytical software such as STATA, Excel, Maxima in order to perform advanced quantitative analysis of different economic, financial and managerial problems;
Understanding the functioning of international financial markets and currency valuation processes, and the usage of financial instruments in financial engineering of multinational corporation;
Ability to use up-to-date versions of models that are related to international trade in practice, including the transfer of technology in the global knowledge-based economy;
Ability to analyze current developments in the world economy, trends of international trade and it policies;
Knowledge and ability to analyze processes of agglomeration and deglomeration, including foreign investment flows based on models of economic geography;
Ability to analyze international migration and labor processes;
Knowledge of international commercial, financial and economic organizations, and principles of negotiation and settlement of commercial disputes;
Ability to negotiate in order to achieve positive results in various trade agreements; to communicate and present results after getting results from professional analyses; business correspondence and developed English language skills (close to fluent);
Understanding and knowledge of behavior rules in accordance with professional ethical standards.
