Studia na kierunku „logistyka i administrowanie w mediach” skierowane są̨ do osób zainteresowanych funkcjonowaniem mediów zarówno od strony organizacyjnej, jak i technologicznej. Przygotowują specjalistów niezbędnych w każdej instytucji medialnej, potrafiących rozwiązywać problemy związane z projektowaniem, budową i funkcjonowaniem nowych mediów, a wśród nich internetu oraz radiowych i telewizyjnych przekazów cyfrowych, a także mediów tradycyjnych – wydawnictw, gazet i periodyków. Wiedza przekazywana w trakcie studiów dotyczy m.in. ekonomiki mediów, zarządzania mediami, reklamy i marketingu oraz zastosowań technologii informacyjnych w mediach.

Wiedza i umiejętności zdobywane na tym kierunku przygotowują studentów do zarządzania mediami za pomocą metod i technik inżynierskich. W szczególności uczymy posługiwania się systemami informatycznego wspomagania zarządzaniem: kosztami, finansami, kapitałem i kadrą.

Podstawą programu kształcenia na kierunku logistyka i administrowanie w mediach są przedmioty obowiązkowe m.in. takie jak: matematyka, podstawy prawa, IT (informatyka), ekonomia, zarządzanie, statystyka, zarządzanie ryzykiem, inżynieria systemów i analizy systemowej, technologie informacyjne mediów, zarządzanie projektami internetowymi, projektowanie procesów, usługi komercyjne w sieci, finanse i rachunkowość, zarządzanie produkcją, usługami i łańcuchem dostaw.

Treści kształcenia uzupełniają przedmioty ukierunkowane na poszerzenie wiedzy i umiejętności o charakterze specjalistycznym m.in. takie jak: public relations, zarządzanie kryzysowe w logistyce, edytory mediów, marketing w mediach, projektowanie procesów w marketingu, logistyka obsługi klienta, społeczna odpowiedzialność przedsiębiorstw medialnych, usługi mobilne w nowych mediach.

Program na kierunku logistyka i administrowanie w mediach może być realizowany w ramach dwóch specjalizacji:

  • logistyka i marketing w mediach,
  • zarządzanie i technologie mediów.

Specjalizację studenci wybierają pod koniec czwartego semestru. Informacje dotyczące kwalifikacji na specjalizacje znajdują się na stronie Wydziału Dziennikarstwa, Informacji i Bibliologii w zakładce Studenci. Na wskazanych specjalizacjach obowiązuje minimalny limit wynoszący 24 osoby.

Do piątego semestru dla wszystkich specjalizacji przewidziany jest wspólny blok zajęć o charakterze podstawowym, wprowadzający studentów w tematykę związaną z systemami i regulacjami prawnymi dotyczącymi mediów oraz technologii informacyjnych. Natomiast każda ze specjalizacji zawiera odrębny blok modułów o charakterze specjalizacyjnym i warsztatowym.

Zdecydowana większość przedmiotów obowiązkowych w programie studiów ma profil praktyczny. Oznacza to nakierowanie na osiąganie efektów kształcenia w zakresie praktycznego wykorzystania wiedzy, umiejętności oraz kompetencji społecznych, które bez wątpienia okażą się niezbędne na współczesnym rynku pracy. Zakładane efekty kształcenia osiągnięte zostaną poprzez realizację części modułów w formie konwersatoriów i ćwiczeń prowadzonych w małych grupach. Dokładny program studiów jest zamieszczony na stronie Wydziału Dziennikarstwa, Informacji i Bibliologii. Kształcenie w ramach studiów ma charakter interdyscyplinarny.

Szczególne znaczenie dla realizacji celów kształcenia mają praktyki zawodowe realizowane w trakcie trzech lat studiów w wymiarze godzinowym wskazanym w programie studiów. Celem praktyk jest praktyczne przygotowanie studentów do wymagań współczesnego rynku pracy. Praktyki zawodowe odbywają się w publicznych i niepublicznych instytucjach związanych z funkcjonowaniem rynku mediów (stacje telewizyjne, stacje radiowe, biura prasowe, portale internetowe) oraz w instytucjach zaplecza medialnego takich jak koncerny medialne, agencje reklamowe, firmy PR.

Absolwenci studiów dysponują umiejętnościami niezbędnymi w każdej instytucji medialnej w zakresie logistyki. Ich wiedza obejmuje wszystkie kluczowe problemy związane z projektowaniem, budową i funkcjonowaniem wydawnictw tradycyjnych (gazet i periodyków) i online, stacji radiowych i telewizyjnych oraz nowych mediów - zastosowań technologii informacyjnych do gromadzenia, obróbki i dystrybucji cyfrowych materiałów medialnych. Dzięki zajęciom praktycznym absolwenci zdobywają podstawową wiedzę konieczną do samodzielnej konstrukcji usług niezbędnych do gromadzenia, opracowania i dystrybucji materiałów dziennikarskich oraz dostateczną wiedzę potrzebną do eksperckich uzgodnień merytorycznych w tym zakresie.

Ponadto absolwenci kierunku logistyka i administrowanie w mediach zdobędą wiedzę w zakresie: funkcjonowania mediów, PR, zarządzania firmą medialną, w tym problemów infrastruktury, bezpieczeństwa, zarządzania: kadrami, produkcją i zaopatrzeniem, a także finansami instytucji medialnej.

Knowledge: the graduate knows and understands
K_W01 – statistical research, probabilistic spaces, probability, properties of probability, conditional probability and independence of events, and integer probability
K_W02 – basic issues of classical and modern physics as well as the relationship between the physics of semiconductor and magnetic materials and modern electronics and media technology
K_W03 – all key problems related to the design, construction and operation of newspaper and magazine publishing houses, radio and television stations and new media, including the use of information technology for collection, processing and distribution of digital media materials, and the requirements for expert substantive arrangements in this area
K_W04 – basic ethical standards and their importance for the practice of the journalist’s profession
K_W05 – the market and its elements as well as the basics of the theory of consumer behavior, the creation and distribution of national income in a market economy, the employment and unemployment market, and the procedure for obtaining public aid for companies from European Union funds
K_W06 – marketing, especially social and relationship marketing at a general level , and consumer market behavior, market and marketing research, management of the integrated marketing communication process and e-business at a specialist level
K_W07 – normative acts regulating the functioning of the media system
K_W08 – the normative material setting the legal framework for communication in the profession of a journalist, public relations worker and related professions, which allows them to independently analyze press material (text and audiovisual) from the point of view of legality
K_W09 – logistics strategies and their impact on the formation of social and economic systems, supply chain models, principles of cooperation in the supply chain, the concept of logistics and marketing, functions of inventory and tasks of warehouse management
K_W10 – the infrastructure, technique and technology of logistic processes, warehouse buildings and technical devices in logistics systems, as well as the subject of supply logistics problems, principles of operation of the kanban system and tasks of supply logistics
K_W11 – the essence of production logistics, classical production organizations and production systems in terms of logistics
K_W12 – functions, tasks, channels and strategies of distribution, and the concept of logistics infrastructure as the basis for the effective flow of goods
K_W13 – international legal issues, financial and accounting standards and financial market mechanisms, in particular stock exchanges
Professional skills: the graduate is able to
K_U01 – apply the mathematical apparatus to selected, formally described tasks, in particular the algorithmization of some projects and their mathematical notation
K_U02 – apply the statistical apparatus to selected, formally described tasks, in particular the risk/success estimation of projects and their recording in statistical language
K_U03 – apply the concepts of physics to selected tasks related to media, in particular the issues of recording, collecting and transmitting information and its distribution through available information carriers
K_U04 – recognize and analyze the studied operating systems, as well as use systemic methodology in relations to the surrounding reality
K_U05 – design, create and manage marketing programs and independently plan the use of various instruments of marketing communication between the company and the market
K_U06 – analyze various legal acts and their impact on the functioning of the media system
K_U07 – authorize the text and write critical texts within the limits of legality and response to press criticism

K_U11 – identify basic elements of logistics infrastructure, apply basic technical and technological knowledge of logistics processes and describe and analyze basic processes in transport technology
K_U12 – use and identify quantitative methods in the management of material resources and use methods of stock shaping methods
K_U13 – use quantitative methods in the management of production material resources and create production schedules
K_U14 – independently analyze conduct in specific situations related to compliance with the law and independently prepare basic pleadings
K_U15 – identify and characterize the forms of quality management in logistics and use the basic methods and techniques in managing the quality of logistics processes, as well as analyze the structure and strategy of trade
K_U16 – use the provisions of financial, accounting and tax law, balance sheet regulations and international regulations in making financial decisions and tax statements and apply appropriate tools to make decisions regarding the assessment of financial condition of business entities
K_U17 – prepare public speeches in oral and written form in Polish and in a foreign language
K_U18 – demonstrate foreign language skills in the field of media studies in accordance with the requirements set out for level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Social skills: the graduate is prepared to
K_K01 – deal with formalized arrangements and exchange views in the area of statistical descriptions of phenomena and physical descriptions related to new media technologies
K_K02 – perceive the environment through the prism of causality, purposefulness and effects caused by systems
K_K03 – independently conduct mathematical and statistical analyses and draw conclusions from them
K_K04 – recognize the conditions and changes in the theory and practice of marketing, while the skills acquired during the classes allow them to be active in the labor market, especially the electronic media and new media markets
K_K05 – recognize the existing legal conditions of business transactions and the consequences of unlawful conduct
K_K06 – demonstrate awareness of the consequences of their actions and take responsibility for their decisions and choices
K_K07 – acknowledge the importance of implementation practice in manufacturing and service processes
K_K08 – think spatially and work in a team.
