Archaeological extramural master degree studies (weekend courses) (NZ2-AR)

Podjęcie studiów niestacjonarnych II stopnia na kierunku archeologia pozwala osobom, które marzyły kiedyś o odkrywaniu skarbów, pracy z zabytkami lub z różnych przyczyn nie mogą kontynuować studiów w systemie stacjonarnym, na kontynuowanie nauki i otrzymanie tytułu magistra archeologii. Różnorodność badawcza i prowadzenie badań wykopaliskowych przez naukowców z Wydziału Archeologii UW na kilku kontynentach, daje studentowi możliwość rozwijania podczas studiów indywidualnych zainteresowań i własnej ścieżki badawczej w ramach prowadzonych seminariów i wykładów monograficznych w zakresie następujących specjalności: archeologia Egiptu, Bliskiego Wschodu i Iranu, archeologia klasyczna Grecji i Rzymu, archeologia pradziejowa, protohistoryczna oraz średniowieczna a także archeologia Ameryk prekolumbijskich i archeologia podwodna

Program studiów realizowany jest corocznie w trakcie zazwyczaj 15 sobotnio-niedzielnych sesji zjazdowych oraz letnich wyjazdowych praktyk terenowych.

Istotną rolę w programie nauczania stanowią studenckie praktyki:

  • badania powierzchniowe, które zazwyczaj odbywają się wiosną lub jesienią;
  • co najmniej 2 sezony badań wykopaliskowych, które odbywają się przede wszystkim w miesiącach letnich. Wykopaliska są prowadzone przez pracowników Wydziału Archeologii UW zarówno w Polsce, jak i zagranicą, m.in. w Egipcie, w Gruzji, w Armenii, w Uzbekistanie, w Bułgarii, we Włoszech na Sycylii oraz w Ameryce Południowej i w wielu innych miejscach.

Zajęcia odbywają się na Kampusie Głównym Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego w budynku Szkoły Głównej, który od kilkunastu lat jest siedzibą Wydziału Archeologii UW.

Podczas studiów student nabywa gruntowną i wszechstronną wiedzę w zakresie poszczególnych specjalności archeologii, oraz wykształcenie ogólnohumanistyczne, pozwalające mu na współpracę z przedstawicielami innych dyscyplin w ramach badań interdyscyplinarnych.

Absolwent studiów magisterskich jest przygotowany do pracy samodzielnej oraz w placówkach naukowo-dydaktycznych, naukowo-badawczych, muzealnych i konserwatorskich.

Uzyskanie tytułu magistra archeologii oraz posiadanie odpowiedniego doświadczenia w badaniach wykopaliskowych, w myśl ustawy o ochronie zabytków, są niezbędne do otrzymywania koncesji na prowadzenie terenowych prac badawczych.

K_U03 can creatively use existing methods and techniques, adapting them to the needs resulting from the specificity of the studied issues
K_U04 can formulate research problems, create original concepts, formulate and test hypotheses in the field of archaeology
K_U05 can independently formulate conclusions, argue and create synthetic summaries taking into account different views
