Women’s athletics 4023-S-LAK
The women’s athletics section is open for female daily, evening, extramural or postgraduate students as well as university staff. It comprises both beginners (starting their adventure with athletics) and advanced athletes.
Students should show physical aptitude for the particular event (or group of events) which they want to practise. In particular, this may include speed, jumping ability, endurance or strength. In addition, particular psychomotor skills are required for each of the events.
If a student has a talent, likes to run, jump or throw, and is persistent, she will succeed in athletics before long.
For the list of events for which you can train in the athletics section see the “Brief Description” section.
Students from the athletics section compete for the University of Warsaw in sports events, including University Championships of Warsaw and University Championships of Poland. The Club organises training camps before the key competitions. Students receive sportswear and professional sports equipment.
