Stretching 4023-P-STRE
Training that aims at increasing the physical fitness of participants. Classes employ stretching and muscle strengthening exercise, as well as breathing and relaxation techniques. The set of exercises involving the stretching of muscles is aimed at making them more flexible, as well as improving the blood circulation of the motor system and causing its start-up. Stretching is a natural exercise system that has been taken, among
others, from observations of animals performing similar "exercises" combining elements of gymnastics and bodybuilding combining alternating series of dynamic and static exercises. The course is designed for participants of different levels of fitness and physical strength.

Learning outcomes
Students:
- will acquire the general knowledge of the human body and its functioning;
- will be able to exercise safely;
- will learn how to work in a team;
- will understand the need to stay fit in order to remain healthy;
- will be able to use sports equipment correctly;
- will develop special motor skills under the guidance of the Physical Education and Sports Centre’s staff.
Assessment criteria
The basis for credit is a systematic and active participation in classes.
