Ancient Culture 3321-Z19F04-OG
ntroduction into main issues of classical Greek and Roman culture, in particular literature (ancient topic), spectacles (theatrical, athletic, gladiatorial etc.), religion, customs and mentality. The lecture will focus on the reception of classical antiquity in modern Europe, mainly in Polish and Italian culture. This course consists of two parts – each part takes one semester per annum. Because of the chronological unity of every discussed topic, student can participate in each part in any order he likes.
