Problems of Central and Eastern Europe can still be interpreted again, whether in context of breakthroughs, still fascinating concepts and models, cultural and literary ideas, as well as the latest art and politics. The proposed lectures try to perceive these different perspectives, introduce the region’s dynamics based on common historical ground.

Learning outcomes
Each lecture presents a different view of the region. Students get acquainted with the specificity of each country and their mutual relations. They should recognize the complexity of problems and identify the ways of understanding a history and the region’s legacy.
