Intercultural Communication 3224-D1KOMKULT
Intercultural communication training consists of three basic parts:
- theory of intercultural communication
- methodology of field studies and other types of intercultural research (psychology, cultural anthropology, sociology, intercultural psychology, psycho-social issues)
- practical training designed to build intercultural competence
After a half-year of training the students:
- are able to carry out their own research
- develop intercultural competence
- are prepared to function as "culture interpreters"
- are prepared to promote open attitude towards "the Other"
Intercultural competence allows students:
- to work with foreigners (customers in companies, foreigners, refugees etc.)
- to prepare study visits of foreign students/specialists
- to prepare youth exchange
- work in the filed of psycho-social issues
