The transformation of manners in the 21st century 2300-PO-OG
The aim of the course is to learn the moral changes that have occurred in the last few decades and to analyze their social, pedagogical consequences.
Readings and discussions will concern the following issues:
1. A new family model (change of roles of a woman and a man, partnerships, attitude of young to procreation). Career models and family. Boomerang generation.
2. Relation to otherness (race, culture, sex, religion)
3. Sexualization and brutalization of youth relations, escalation of the phenomenon of violence.
4. Globalization of manners. Formation of moral attitudes by the media. Internet as a tutor, new challenges for pedagogy.
5. On-line life, a new style of communication and interpersonal relations. Threat to social bonds.
6. Material values vs moral values. New forms of prostitution.
7. Attitude to the common good (people, law, environment).

Learning outcomes
Knowledge - Student:
1. Has basic knowledge of moral changes in the 21st century, understands the social and educational consequences of these changes.
2. Has ordered knowledge about the values and ways of functioning of various youth groups.
3. Understands the mechanisms of creating a relationship with other people and groups.
4. Has basic knowledge of the globalization process and its impact on cultural changes.
5. Has a well-ordered knowledge of socialization mechanisms (in the sphere of morality), understands the participation of various sources of socialization with particular emphasis on the media.
Skills - Student:
Skills
1. Is able to use theoretical knowledge in the field of pedagogy, psychology, sociology and law in order to analyze moral changes.
2. Can determine the motives of individuals, social groups participating in or creating a new moral reality.
3. Understands the importance of social bonds for the functioning of individuals and groups, appreciates the importance of communication competences and direct relationships in the processes of socialization.
4. Can explain the problems of modern upbringing, indicate irregularities, assess the conditions under which socialization processes take place.
5. Can identify the threats and opportunities of social and cultural globalization, analyze the impact of globalization on moral processes and human attitudes.
Social competence:
1. Can communicate and collaborate with others.
2. Can develop knowledge in the field of selected social sciences to analyze and understand cultural (social) changes.
3. He is aware that today the understanding of the social world and the pursuit of work, because of the constant change process requires learning throughout life.
