The analysis of condition of modern education will be presented in the perspective of tensions and contradictions connected with current reflection (ethical, social, political) and to a large extent determining and conditioning how non-commensurate modern educational conceptions are.
Making students realise how problematic and not obvious the basic assumptions of ethical and educational conceptions are will let them: firstly analyse ctitically their own, intuitive and non-reflective standpoints as well as secondly make them try formulate independently the basis of understanding the aim and sense of education.
In the course of classes the subject of analysis will be conditioning (in terms of civilisation and culture) beginnings and evolution of identity of education; the changes of relations between pedagogical theory and practice; multitude of modern pedagogics and diversifying their reception.
As the context of the above topics there is the analysis of educational implications, fundamental for educational reflection ethical problems.

The student perceives educational issues through functioning of different ethical and social systems. The student can notice many-sided factors of modern education and complexity of its theorethical background. The student can undertake critical analysis of his or her opinions concerning educational issues allowing him or her to adopt a reflective attitude towards the complexity of educational practice and theory. The student can formulate problems and take an effort to solve them both in theory and in practice. The student notices the importance of initiating substantially significant communicative relations with other persons involved in the process of education. The student sees the value of opening towards different theorethical standpoints. The student displays enlightened scepticism both towards their own or different educational views.
