Didactics of natural science and geography I 1900-1-DPG2-PED
The lectures are aimed at:
- preparation to use various didactic resources,
- knowledge of methods and forms of work with pupils (as well as methods and techniques of learning),
- preparation to work with information and communication techniques and experiments,
- familiarizing with subjects of fieldworks, their preparation and execution,
- preparation to conduct classes on interpretive trails, and creating such trails,
- realization of the key role of regional education and ecological education in teaching Natural Science.

Learning outcomes
After the course the student will:
Knowledge:
• present forms, methods and techniques of teaching NS, as well as applied didactic resources,
• present the rules, aims and methods of field workshops, as well as their role in teaching NS,
• present the ways of creating interpretive trails, their goals and contents,
• present the modes of sense of direction,
• present personal ideas about aims, contents, methods and techniques of teaching NS in school environment and nearby,
• demonstrate the role of ecological education and regional education in creating proper attitudes and identities of students.
Assessment criteria
Lecture:
Written assessment; receiving 60 % - satisfactory mark
