Acquisition and analysis of corpus data 1500-SZD-PADK
The seminar will show new technical possibilities of language system and text analysis. The first part of the course (the first 5 meetings) will present the National Corpus of Polish other Polish and foreign corpora, and the corpus query syntax. The second part of the seminar (meetings 6-10)will introduce other tools of languages analysis: morphological analysers, taggers, word frequency monitoring and tools for building corpora (based on the resources of clarin-pl.eu). IN the last 5 meetings, students will build their own corpora and present (5 meetings) their projects.

4. The student can use knowledge from various fields of linguistics and other scientific disciplines (e.g. computer science, statistics) to perform research tasks related to corpus linguistics, in particular: to use corpus methods, to use research tools with the use of regular expressions, i.e. corpora, programs for morphosyntactic and syntactic analysis,), to build new corpora and use them creatively and to draw conclusions on the basis of research results (PS8UW).
